Snowman Spectacular
Experience unforgettable holiday fun at the 3rd Annual Snowman Spectacular Competition beginning December 5th! Kick-off the celebration at Frosty Fest, a family-friendly launch party brimming with festive activities for all ages. This magical evening features delicious food trucks, train rides, whimsical “snow,” crafts, games, a visit to Santa’s Workshop, and the unveiling of this year’s snowman entries.
Admire the dazzling display of snowmen created by local businesses, organizations, and residents. Crafted from weather-resistant materials, the snowmen are on display to admire and enjoy until December 14th.
Everyone is invited to stop by and vote for their favorite snowman, with prizes awarded for both People’s Choice and Judges’ Favorite.

- November 7: registration deadline (at 4:00 pm)
- November 29 – December 4: Snowman Setup
- December 5: Frosty Fest Kick-off Event from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm at the Calhoun Recreation Department (110 Recreation Drive)
- December 5 – 14: Snowman Showcase/Voting along the paved path at the Calhoun Recreation Department
Want to build a snowman?
Registration forms are available at the Gordon County Convention & Visitors Bureau. Registration deadline is on November 7th at 4:00 pm and the registration fee is $40 per entry.

Children 5th grade and under are invited to bring a snowman to life with color for the Snowman Coloring Contest taking place now through December 12th.

Where to see the snowmen
The snowmen will be on display at the Calhoun Recreation Department along the paved path that connects the Black & Yellow playground and the large parking lot.
We encourage everyone to stop by and vote for their favorite. Prizes will be given to the People’s Choice and Judge’s Favorite award winners.
During the event, you can show your support for your favorite snowman for just $1 per vote. Submit your votes in person at the Gordon Chamber, the Calhoun Recreation Department, and at participating builders’ locations, during regular business hours. Voters may also use the QR code or the following link to vote by PayPal.
Please note: The QR code and link are the same for all snowmen. Voters will need to indicate their favorite snowman’s number in the comment section for their vote to be counted.
Proceeds from the vote will be divided between the Gordon County Convention & Visitors Bureau and the Calhoun Recreation Department, providing financial support to sustain and grow future Snowman Spectacular events.
