Downtown Calhoun Christmas Parade Celebration

For 31 years, Calhoun’s Christmas Parade of Lights brings together local businesses, organizations, schools, churches, civic groups, and families for an unforgettable evening of holiday festivities along Wall Street. Enjoy the incredible light displays and holiday cheer as downtown Calhoun os filled with the glow of magical illuminated floats, twinkling Christmas lights, the sound of holiday music, and the warmth of a community coming together.

This year’s celebration will honor America’s 250th Anniversary with a special patriotic theme. Families will line the streets to catch a glimpse of creative entries, community spirit, and, of course, a jolly wave from Santa Claus! The evening opens with performances by local school choirs along the parade route and concludes with a special appearance by Santa Claus.

Parade Details

• Theme: A Star-Spangled Christmas, celebrating America’s 250th Anniversary
• When: December 10 at 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm
• Staging Deadline: Entries must be in place by 6:30 PM
• Route: North Wall Street, from Line Street to Oak Street, Downtown Calhoun
• Staging: Enter North Wall Street from Red Bud Road; North Wall Street closes to local traffic from 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm

Every decorated entry has a chance to show off your creativity, celebrate the season, and compete for recognition. Whether you’re entering a walking group, a decorated vehicle, a vehicle group, or a full float, one entry fee covers your entire participation, regardless of the number of vehicles or elements in your entry.
