Mark your calendars for 2026 and the return of  Snowman Spectacular presented by Explore Calhoun-Gordon County in partnership with the City of Calhoun Recreation Department. Join us as local businesses, organizations, schools, churches, and families display their creative skills in a Calhoun-Gordon County’s community-wide snowman building competition. And don’t worry—snow is not required! Crafted from weather-resistant materials, the snowmen will stand proudly, defying the elements.

Frosty Fest Launch Party

When: December 4, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm
Where: Calhoun Recreation Department, 110 Recreation Drive, Calhoun, GA
This year’s festivities kick off on with our family-friendly Frosty Fest Launch Party filled with activities for all ages.  Bring the whole family for a festive evening featuring:

• Food trucks
• Carnival-style games
• Train rides
• Human snow globe
• Santa’s Workshop
• Live entertainment
• Snow play area
• The grand unveiling of this year’s snowman creations

Snowman Displays

But the celebration doesn’t end there! From December 4th through the 13th, the amazing snowman creations will be displayed at the Calhoun Recreation Department along the paved path that connects the Black & Yellow playground and the large parking lot. We encourage everyone to stop by and vote for their favorite.
